Headship needn't be so lonely

Headship is always getting tougher, especially in an independent school, and I don't think most people realise just how much a Head has to deal with and think about.

If it will help, I have a handful of vacancies in a small group of prep school Heads who meet each term, in person and/or online, for utterly confidential discussions about anything and everything. Everyone has similar issues, opportunities and ideas, as well as different ones, and the combined wisdom means they can very quickly help one another.

Unlike District groups and local Heads' groups, none of the members or their schools competes with anyone else. As a result, we have a safe space which is based on mutual trust and a shared understanding of what it's like and what's going on.

Leading a school is lonely, but it doesn't have to be completely lonely. If you might be interested in joining this group, please get in touch for a more in-depth chat. Or if you know a Head who might appreciate being part of a genuinely reliable and helpful network, let them know about this too.
